    This is a full-time, continuing position with salary in the range $127,496.67 to $134,829.23, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.

    Leverage your extensive stakeholder engagement and research skills as well as a deep understanding of higher education dynamics, to establish and lead a high-performing Education Insights and Analysis team within the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic (DVCA).

    Collaborate university-wide to generate impactful education insights reports and presentations that inform strategic decision-making and propel progress towards educational goals.

    Strengthen strategy implementation by conducting in-depth qualitative and quantitative data analysis.

    Translate these insights into compelling reports that demonstrate the effectiveness of educational initiatives and contribute to achieving key success metrics.

    The University of Queensland (UQ) seeks a visionary Senior Manager to lead a newly formed team dedicated to education insights and analysis.

    This critical role supports the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic (DVCA) by transforming university data into actionable insights.
    Lead a team of specialists in delivering key metrics, data visualizations, and insightful analyses.
    Partner with faculties and central units to inform data-driven decision-making for educational improvement.
    Drive evidence-based strategies aligned with UQ's Learning and Student Experience Roadmap.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Leadership, Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement:

    Lead a dynamic team to excel in educational data analysis and champion the integration of data-informed decision making across UQ.

    Collaborate with senior management, faculty leaders, and stakeholders to embed actionable insights into strategic planning and day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with the Learning and Student Experience Roadmap.

    Build and maintain strong connections across all levels of UQ, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and aligning educational insights with strategic goals.


    Data Insights and Analysis with Continuous Improvement:

    Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of educational data, translating complex datasets into strategic insights that enhance learning outcomes and student experiences.

    Champion innovative data analysis techniques and collaborative efforts to strengthen UQ's data capabilities, ensuring comprehensive and impactful educational reporting.
    Uphold the highest standards of data integrity, analysis, and reporting, ensuring UQ's reputation for educational excellence.
    Stay abreast of emerging trends in higher education and data analytics, continuously improving UQ's data-driven approach to educational leadership.
    About YouPossess a postgraduate qualification (or extensive experience) in data science, social science, psychology, economics, or a relevant field.
    Alternatively, demonstrate extensive experience with specialist expertise in data analysis and proven management capabilities.

    Extensive experience leading teams with a track record of success in data-driven analysis and strategic decision-making within an educational or related setting.

    Expertise in managing complex data projects, leveraging established and emerging technologies to extract insightful information.
    Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and drive strategic decisions through successful collaboration and consensus-building with diverse stakeholders.

    Possess exceptional analytical, communication, and project management skills with a deep understanding of the higher education sector, its challenges, and opportunities.

    Proven experience in researching and preparing complex documents (reports, presentations, briefing papers, executive reports) that clearly translate complex data into actionable insights.

    You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and will be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
