    ARA Electrical is seeking an experienced Industrial Hazardous Area Electrician to perform service and installation work in the Port Botany Area 2036.
    This role is ideally suited to someone from a heavy industry background with experience troubleshooting automated equipment.

    Job tasks and responsibilities:

    • Field service and breakdown support for a range of customers over varying industries
    • Preventative and corrective maintenance
    • Install & maintain electrical cabling & equipment
    • Fault find electrical faults on electric motors, variable speed drives & electrical control equipment

    Experience and Skills

    • Be a Trade Certified and Licenced Electrician.
    • Cert III Instrumentation. (not essential)
    • Cert IV in Hazardous areas
    • NSW Drivers Licence
    • Maintenance experience in a process plant
    • Have excellent knowledge of current Australian Standards
    • Has a sound understanding of SCADA and PLC systems and associated ancillary software.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot and fault finding in various circuits i.e. Motor circuits, motor controllers and instruments
    • Strong background in industrial automation and control systems
    • Have good communication skills
    • A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment
    • Dedicated to customer satisfaction
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
    • Ability and desire to participate in a rotating after-hours on-call roster
    • Be motivated and have an excellent work ethic and attention to detail
