    Toll Helicopters is an experienced provider of specialised mission-critical helicopter services and training for Government, Defence, and the civil sector.     Job Description

    We have a unique opportunity to join Toll Group in our Helicopters business as an Aircraft Life support fitter (ALSE). The purpose of this position is to deliver maintenance services to role equipment fitted to the Toll Helicopters fleet. Ensuring their safety and reliability while meeting the needs of the Toll Helicopters Operator, Maintenance Organisation, CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) or other regulators and our customers.

    This role is based in Bankstown Airport, NSW. While supporting, with some travel, other locations such as but not limited to QLD, NT, ACT, NSW.

    As an ALSE, you will:

    • Will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, repairing and maintaining various types of aviation life support equipment for our customers.
    • Conduct periodic inspections and checks of life support equipment to ensure they are in compliance with regulatory requirements and manufacturer specifications.
    • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
    • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair activities.
    • Communicate with stakeholders to provide information and recommendations regarding equipment maintenance and repair.
    • Adhere to safety procedures and standards when working with life support equipment

    Qualifications:

    To be successful in this role, you will:

    • Hold DEF31712 or MEA30318 Certificate III in Aircraft life support and furnishings or equivalent or similar.
    • Extensive experience with military, utility, or medical aircraft equipment would be looked upon favorably.
    • Previous experience as an aircraft maintenance engineer would be an advantage.
    • Previous experience in general aircraft maintenance practices would be an advantage.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the Civil Aviation Regulations
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Demonstrated sound judgment to identify and interpret issues and risks, and ability to control or escalate effectively and appropriately.
    • Exceptional capacity for and desire to work and achieve positive outcomes.
