    Manager, Regulatory Engagement

    Do work that matters:

    As part of Compliance, our team has three teams spanning regulatory relationship management across APRA, ASIC and RBA and also managing the regulatory engagement framework, system, and strategy s for the Group.

    See yourself in the team:

    As a Manager, within Regulatory Engagement you will play an important role from an ASIC engagement perspective helping provide input into Regulatory Engagement and Group Compliance initiatives to drive regulatory engagement across the Group. In addition, you will have responsibilities supporting the management of the Group Framework, reporting and systems that underpin regulatory engagement.

    Your day could look like but not limited to:

    • Champion the CBA Regulatory Engagement Principles to deliver simpler, better, and more proactive regulatory engagement for the CBA Group;
    • Develop an understanding of the CBA Risk Management Framework and how the various elements of the RMF interact and are applied in the business;
    • Be an active member of Regulatory Engagement/AAPRT, supporting the ASIC relationship across a range of regulatory engagements;
    • Support the management of the Group Regulatory Engagement Standard including monitoring of compliance and providing SME support as required;
    • Assist with drafting of reporting of regulatory matters for senior executive management and the CBA Board;
    • Assist in responding to ad-hoc requests for insights and analysis to support Group-wide regulatory risk management;
    • Help support management of the CBA's regulatory portals, and;
    • Support Head of Regulatory Engagement and General Manager Regulatory Engagement with allocated projects (as required).

    What successful candidates will look like?

Ideally you will bring experience with knowledge of the Australian Regulatory environment within financial services. You will also be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder management, communication and problem solving skills.

    • Strong analytical, coordination and issue management skills;
    • Highly developed oral and written communication skills;
    • Strong knowledge of the role of APRA and its Prudential standards;
    • Strong service orientation and well developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for prioritising demands, addressing inquiries and developing relationships with senior Business Unit stakeholders across the Group;
    • The ability to develop appropriate pragmatic solutions to issues and
    • The ability to assist the Group develop its position to emerging issues and policy development
