About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as an Enrolled, Registered or Clinical Nurse within the Division of Surgical Specialties and Anaesthetics.
As an Enrolled Nurse you will support Registered Nurses in the provision of person-centred care consistent with regulatory and statutory requirements. Practice at this level is from novice to proficient practice. In this role you will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, however at all times you will retain responsibility for your actions and remain accountable in providing nursing care.
As a Registered Nurse you will provide nursing services in health service settings. In this role you will develop from a novice practitioner to a proficient level of professional practice and consolidate knowledge and skills, developing in capability through continuous professional development and experience. As a Registered Nurse you will accept accountability for your own standards of nursing care and for activities delegated to others.
As a Clinical Nurse you will provide nursing services in a variety of health service settings which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study, developing from a competent to proficient practitioner. In this role you will accept accountability for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. The Clinical Nurse role continues to be predominantly clinical in nature, however employees are assigned appropriate portfolios.
To be eligible for appointment as an Enrolled Nurse , you will be registered or eligible for registration as an enrolled nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. In order to administer medicines, you must have completed a Board-approved program of study which includes an administration of medicines unit.
To be eligible for appointment as a Registered or Clinical Nurse , you must be registered or be eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
