About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in remoteAboriginal Communities from the comfort of your own home Join ourRemote Services Team as a Telehealth Nurse providing culturallyappropriate primary health care and access to after-hours emergencycare. The Telehealth Nurse is responsible for providing clinicalsupport to clients outside of regular business hours (shifts 7 daysper week (1700hrs - 0100hrs))
This role requires excellent communication skills and clinicaljudgement to assess client's needs accurately over the phone and toprovide medical advice that is appropriate to their context.Referral to the local clinic team will be required on occasionseither immediately in an emergency or the following morning.
The position sits within remote services and works with a teamincluding a GP, Remote Area Nurses, Clinic Managers, AboriginalHealth Practitioners and MrACC.
