    Glencore's McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You'll find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and is shipped to our customers all over the world. Our customers use our essential commodities in everyday products for mobility, infrastructure and communications.

    Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Manager, the core purpose of this vital role is to:

    • Provide technical leadership to the planning team.
    • Manage scope, deadline, cost, quality and risks of maintenance shutdowns.
    • Ensure that the planning, execution, control and closure of activities are carried out within the project methodologies (PMI/FEL) and aligned with the company's practices, procedures and processes.
    • Analyse process and interface indicators and interface with PCM areas; Supplies; Stock management and Component Management.
    • Assist to promote benchmarking studies and develop plans to achieve these indices.
    • Provide interface between internal customer, engineering, suppliers, health and safety, and supplies areas to ensure that deadlines, quality, costs, and safety of shutdowns are met and meet customer expectations.
    • Develop scope for contracting services and supplying materials and equipment.

    To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in:

    • Planning processes, scheduling shutdowns and maintenance control, maintenance strategy, indicator control and maintenance cost management.
    • Management of infrastructure maintenance services and assets and the evaluation of their performance against established criteria.
    • Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, MS Project, Primavera and Power Bi along with d emonstrated experience working with computerised asset management systems (CMMS).
    • Project management, preparing management reports including indicators and issuing physical-financial reports.
    • Asset management and maintenance processes and the ability in the implementation of maintenance strategies and application of continuous improvement processes specific to the mining industry along with knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements for mining.
    • High level of communication skills with strong leadership and decision-making abilities to successfully manage contractors and tradespersons.
    • Experience as a qualified tradesperson or successful completion of planner training modules would be an asset.
