    Kimberley Mineral Sands Pty Ltd (KMS) is a 50/50 joint venture between Sheffield Resources Limited and YGH Australia Investment Pty Ltd (Yansteel). The Thunderbird Mineral Sands Project (Thunderbird) is located mid-way between Derby and Broome, in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

    Thunderbird is one of the largest and highest-grade zircon mineral sands deposits in the world and contains valuable heavy minerals including ilmenite, zircon, leucoxene, and rutile, which are extracted and exported via the Port of Broome.

    About the Role

    Residing in the West Kimberley and reporting to the Superintendent Engineering, this is an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Systems Specialist to join our growing mining company.

    This role will be responsible for SAP and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system support across Thunderbird Operations. You will play a central role in ensuring the processes and systems necessary to achieve effective and efficient asset management are robustly and comprehensively implemented.

    Site Based Roster: 4 days on, 3 days off

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review, plan and schedule routine and corrective maintenance tasks for minor and major work
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system improvements
    • Conduct regular audits to uphold data accuracy and integrity
    • Support strategic Asset Management initiatives, such as tactics development, spares optimisation and plant improvements

    About You

    • Hold a current WA C-Class driver's licence
    • Hold a trade certificate, engineering qualification and/or formal system application training certification
    • Demonstrate proven experience in industrial maintenance planning, scheduling and data management
    • Minimum 5 years working with maintenance operation specific systems in a heavy engineering environment
    • Demonstrated expertise in analysing, reporting and modifying master data within SAP
    • Possess keen analytical and problem-solving skills, showcasing meticulous attention to detail
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes in an efficient and simplistic manner
    • Sound understanding of fixed plant assets, plant maintenance, reliability practices and work management processes and systems
    • S4 Hana user experience would be advantageous
