- Drive the enhancement of the cyber security framework through new initiatives and programs of work.
- Lead cyber security consulting and support for projects and business initiatives.
- Participate in security strategy planning activities and contribute thought leadership and advice on cyber threats, regulatory obligations, and mitigation approaches.
- Support the development of security frameworks and standards.
- Develop guiding principles and reusable security architecture patterns to enable rapid change.
- Actively engage with agile squads to enable effective governance over secure application development and change, which should lead to a more self-sufficient DevSecOps mode of working.
- Evaluate and design security solutions and architectures to ensure that systems, networks, and applications are adequately protected against cyber threats, adhering to security best practices and industry standards.
- Reduce enterprise/application integration complexity while maintaining a secure posture.
- Deliver risk analysis and capability maturity assessments, including periodic reviews of security capability using agreed upon security frameworks (e.g. NIST, CIS).
- Facilitate the secure introduction of new technologies, change, opportunity, and innovation in the Security Practice.
- Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting threat intelligence information to understand emerging threats and trends, and proactively implementing measures to defend against potential cyber attacks.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as Infrastructure, legal, compliance, and risk, to ensure a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity, and effectively communicating security-related issues, findings, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- 10+ years experience in cyber security roles, with at least 5 of those years in a cyber technical design and architecture role.
- Strong knowledge of information security technologies and concepts.
- Strong experience in security related to Secure Software Development Life Cycle and cloud technologies (AWS and Azure).
- Demonstrates a sound understanding of vendor technologies and roadmaps and remains current with key IT industry themes and emerging trends.
- Demonstrates ability to build and maintain collaborative and trustful relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and agile ways of working.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively about abstract and complex topics to a range of audiences.
- Relevant Cyber related certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM).
- A proven track record of supporting successful delivery of projects or services in cyber security.
- Experience in identifying information risks and the application of the required controls.
- Experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 2700x and the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).

The Cyber Security Architect will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the information security framework through the establishment of effective design practices to ensure appropriate cyber security controls are implemented through new projects and initiatives. The role will be instrumental in raising the maturity of 'security by design' and working with existing agile squads to enable fast delivery of change in a secure manner.
