    We are looking for a passionate, pragmatic, execution focused Consultant to join our Group Development team within Group Finance.

    The Consultant will provide our Group Development team and senior stakeholders at NAB with quality advice, research, and analytical insights.

    You will assist in the execution of acquisitions and divestments, including having responsibility for delivering certain aspects of projects whilst preparing presentations and communications to contribute to decision making and influence senior stakeholders

    Work with GD team members on acquisitions and divestments, strategic projects and performance improvement initiatives.

    Support the transaction lead in the day-to-day support of M&A projects with opportunities to lead specific workstreams of projects where able, including:Drafting and assisting in external documents, including marketing materials or transaction documents.

    Engaging with the relevant business divisions or support functions in NAB, as well as external advisers and external parties, on a day-to-day basis.

    Drafting and assisting with internal approval documents and processes where required
    Provide general project management support to senior team members.

    Undertake analytical activities including gathering data, structuring, and performing robust strategic analysis and financial modelling to support strategic decision making i.

    Assist in the design and build of valuation and financial models.
    Support the evaluation of strategic options & fit of potential acquisition targets.
    Assist in setting the scope and managing due diligence processes.
    Support the strategic planning and investment process.
    Support strategic reviews of major business units within the Group and the assessment of organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
    Assist in the development of clear and compelling business presentations or reports for senior executive audiences (Executive Leadership Team, CEO, Board)
    Proactively develop an understanding of the financial services industry, including monitoring financial services sector market trends and developments.

    Experience in delivering on expectations, taking accountability and reliably delivering on commitments.
    Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
    Some experience in transaction execution.
    Financial modelling skills, including ability to construct three statement financial model.
    Corporate finance knowledge and skills, including valuation and/or other relevant financial analysis.
    Worked in a fast-paced environment, dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity, and maintained composure and focus under pressure.

    Strong stakeholder management, relationship building, and communication skills with a proven track record engaging with and collaborating with the team, wider bank stakeholders and business sponsors, in addition to partners and at times other third parties.

    Strong strategic focus and be able to communicate with influence.
    The ability to lead group discussions in a workshop environment and build towards consensus on agreed priorities.

    3+ years of experience in financial services; or in another corporate development role or at an investment bank, top tier-chartered accounting firm or leading consulting firm.

    Tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, commerce or quantitative discipline.
