    About The Opportunity

    Programmed's Facility Management department are currently seeking a qualified Electrician & Instrumentation Technician to join our Melbourne Water contract as a field-based technician. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for the completion of maintenance across the wastewater and drainage side of the business. This position is responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance, switchboard servicing, high voltage maintenance and instrumentational work across many sites across Melbourne.

    Nature of this position: Fulltime

    Location: Brooklyn Pumping Station

    Reporting Line: ST&D Supervisor

    About You

    To join our team, ideally you will have previous experience on major commercial or industrial sites, with a passion to provide quality work and a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others. Additionally, you will have;

    • Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
    • A Grade Electrical license.
    • Current driver's license & white card preferred.
    • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring and components.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • A strong commitment to and understanding of quality, environmental, occupational health and safety management systems.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
    • Time management skills to meet deadlines.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Extensive experience in High Voltage (HV) maintenance
    • Experienced instrumentation technician
