    We have a unique opportunity for an Engineer to join our growing team, with a focus on the Bowen Basin region, working on key structural remediation and temporary works projects.

    The Opportunity

    Position:
    Engineer

    Location:
    Bowen Basin Mine Sites and Working from Home

    Schedule:
    On-site 4 days per fortnight and working from home the remaining 6 days.


    As a key member of our team, you'll play an essential role in the delivery of structural remediation projects, and the development of temporary works methodologies to support complex engineering challenges.

    This role will see you applying your expertise on structural remediation type projects in the mining sector, ensuring both safety and innovation in every solution we deliver.

    In this role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    Design of structural remediation works including any temporary works that may be required to safely facilitate its installation.
    Perform a site role 4 days a fortnight including visual inspections and design of structural steel and concrete structures. The site role is required to be typically performed at mine sites in the Bowen Basin.

    Perform risk assessments on the defects identified to help prioritise the severity of the defects and the level of risk that the client is exposed to.

    Collaborate with contractors and the client to develop temporary and permanent engineering solutions.
    Prepare design reports and certificates.
    Manage the design and coordination of structural drawings with technical staff and drafters.
    Securing both new and repeat work, writing fee proposals, forecasting and preparing invoices.
    Engaging with the broader team to develop innovative and practical engineering solutions tailored to each project's unique challenges.

    What We're Looking For

    Experience:
    A solid engineering background, ideally with experience in mining, structural steel and concrete design and site inspections. The ability to work independently and in a client-facing role.

    Skills:
    Expertise in structural remediation and temporary works, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on safety.

    Mindset:
    A positive, solution-oriented attitude, with a willingness to contribute to a collaborative and ambitious team.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor of Engineering (BEng). Working towards Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) in the area of Structural Engineering is preferred.
