    Overview

    We have a new exciting opportunity for an Advanced Education and Research Lead who is recognised as a clinical expert in education, training and research within the Allied Health Workforce.

    The Advanced Education and Research Lead provides strategic leadership, direction and coordination in a number of specialised research and education initiatives and projects across Allied Health in Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN) with a focus on improving health outcomes for consumers and carers to ensure country people have access to high quality care that promotes dignity, respect, choice, independence and social connection, and provided by an appropriately skilled and supported team – "our people caring for our communities".

    In this position, the Advanced Education and Research Lead, Allied Health has responsibility as a senior professional specialist for innovative and complex work including:

    Provision of services, activities, supervision and advice in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of current and new Allied Health approaches to assist Allied Health services to effectively meet service demand and improve health outcomes across a range of services.

    This will include a particular focus on research, student education and service improvement across all programs delivered in RMCLHN including: aged care, rehabilitation, outpatient, CHAD, NDIS, & inpatient.

    Coordination, supervision, and capacity building of Allied Health staff in the implementation of evidence-based practice, service improvement and research activities relevant to Allied Health.

    Coordinating continuing education, training, and professional development for Allied Health staff.
    Coordinating and capacity building of Allied Health clinical education programs within RMCLHN.

    Applicants Must hold a recognised qualification within a relevant Allied Health profession (Dietetics, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy Podiatry, Social Work or Speech Pathology), and be eligible for (full) membership of the relevant Professional Association.

    For those professions requiring Registration, all requirements must be fulfilled to achieve and maintain current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA).

    For self-regulated professions, it is desirable to participate in the professional associations accredited continuous professional development program.

    A higher qualification in a relevant area such as health service management, professional specialisation / clinical education will be highly regarded.

    Post Graduate studies in Allied Health, Health Services Management, Health Administration, or research qualification relevant to the area of practice desirable.
