    Our Lihir operation inHSE, Emergency Responseis now recruiting for the position ofOfficer - HSE Emergency Response.
    The role will have the following responsibilities but not limited to
    Actively coordinates work areas to ensure work is carried out safely, according to the PNG Mine Safety Act
    Oversees daily inspection and maintenance of mobile emergency response equipment (fixed infrastructure is a maintenance function)
    Provide ongoing daily services in inspecting, installing, fault-finding/troubleshooting, repairing, and testing mechanical equipment on the mobile fleet as required.
    Ensure documentation, maintenance and service records for equipment are complete and kept up to date.

    Give confidence to all stakeholders when performing emergency response duties to protect life, equipment, business assets, community, and the environment.

    Provide consistent support to the ERT Trainees/Officers/Supervisor/Coordinator to act in extended duties positions/succession planning and development of end-of-shift reports/daily handover meetings, Rescue Plans, Drill reports, debriefs and submitting evidence to database systems.

    Preparedness and giving your best, promoting teamwork, displaying consistent professional and acceptable behaviour with the ability to provide strong clear communications within the team and to stakeholders.

    Plans work so that it can be conducted safely, and considers environmental conditions, nearby activities, people, and other resources needed to complete the work.

    5+ years of relevant work experience
    Minimum level of Grade 10 education
    Extensive relevant experience within a large-scale complex processing plant or heavy industry.
    PNG Driver's Licence for Light Vehicle and Light Truck- Class 6/ 4
    Certificate in Aviation Rescue & Fire Fighting.
    Any experience in emergency response and rescue (Marine Rescue & Firefighting)
    Previous firefighting experience and aviation fire and rescue
    Certificate II in Occupational Emergency Care.
    Certificates in emergency management in marine.
    Other related emergency training certs
    Proficient in English with excellent verbal, written communication, and public speaking skills.
    Computer proficiency in MS Office suite.
    Sound planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills including project execution/management experience.
    Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
    Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
    Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & training.
    Be open to constructive conversation take feedback as improvement and communicate or share learnings.
    Rescue Dive Ticket (Optiona1) or construction environment.
    R Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
    The Requirements
    Must be open to FIFO in PNG.
    Ability to complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
    Must have proof of a completed Police Clearance within the last six months.
