    Barminco are actively seeking Experienced Longhole Drillers to join us in our Canadian Operations. The roster on offer is 6 weeks on and 3 weeks off.


    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Make sure that the relevant Safety, Mining and other statutory Codes and Regulations are followed
    Accurately drilling a series of Longholes to a design pattern using a mechanised drill.

    Reads and accurately follows mine instruction plans with skill and precision ensuring holes are drilled to design line, gradient and profile.

    Communicate with surveyors, geologists and engineers to optimise drill patters and metres.
    Set up and troubleshoot on Longhole Drill rigs.
    Accesses face conditions at the start of the job and scale from height according to site requirements


    Essential Requirements:


    A demonstrated passion for safety and a proactive attitude toward ensuring that safety is front of mind for all employees at all times.

    Experience in training a national workforce
    A minimum of 5 years experience in the Underground Mining Industry.
    A minimum of 5 years experience solely as an Underground Longhole Driller.
    Knowledge of Underground Mining Practices and the efficient operation of an Underground Longhole Machine.
    Highly organised and able to work efficiently with limited supervision.

    A full pre-employment medical is required, including a drug and alcohol, and site specific clearances. A National Police Clearance and any necessary tickets or qualifications are required to be presented at time of interview.
