    Description

    Provide expert advice and content knowledge of the client's SAP HR/Payroll solution to ensure maintenance, support, design and configuration activities are completed to meet service delivery.

    Within that context, the key responsibilities of this role are:

    • Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
    • Provide Guidance, design, configure and deliver HCM supporting functionality in accordance with strict information system standards and documentation requirements.
    • Deliver HCM functionality in accordance with vendor and industry best practice functionality and operating procedures.
    • Document system configuration, technical specifications and procedures ensuring that they are maintained, reflect best practice for user requirements and appropriately comply with recognised Departmental and Government accounting and human resource policies. Liaise with clients to solve problems that arise in the SAP HCM solutions in a timely manner.
    • Proactively assess the effectiveness of the SAP system and liaise closely with stakeholders to recommend solution enhancements to improve system effectiveness.
    • Develop functional specifications for customisations spanning applications in the SAP HCM solution suite as part of updates and upgrades of the SAP system. Develop solution documentation and specifications for customisations clearly documenting the user requirements.
    • Provide expert advice and support in the completion of quality reviews of deliverables.
    • Provide expert advice on changes to the solution design to ensure the system design remains robust, fit for purpose and meets requirements.
    • There may be a requirement to work out of hours, weekends and public holidays to ensure the successful delivery of the Queensland Health enterprise solutions.
      2.3 'Ideal candidate' description
      Section 2.6 lists the criteria that will be applied to assess candidate suitability. As a more general guide, vendors are encouraged to consider the following in their own pre-assessment of which candidates to submit for consideration: An 'ideal candidate' would be someone who can demonstrate the following:
    • Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills in SAP HR in Organisational Management, Payroll (preferably Australian-based system), HR to Fi/Co integration, Time Management, Personnel Administration, ESS/MSS.
    • Proven experience in formulating, documenting and implementing functional and technical specifications including sound knowledge of current technical trends, including systems integrations and service-orientated architecture.
    • Demonstrated extensive experience in the support and configuration of large-scale HR SAP Solutions. The product set for QH HR includes SAP, Infor Workforce Management and Finance/Controlling (Fi/Co).
    • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and award structures in Government.
    • High level of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to consult and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders on complex business requirements and transfer knowledge to team members and clients.
