    About you
    As our Senior Local Medical Educator, you will have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. Currently you'll be working as a GP in a General Practice environment and have experience in medical education. To thrive in this role, you'll have:

    • experience in general practice performance assessment and education/training development
    • high level of initiative, conceptual and analytical thinking, and high level of attention to detail.
    • high level organisational skills, time management and adaptability.
    • work effectively within a team environment and ability to work independently.


    About the opportunity
    Reporting to the Senior Local Medical Educator – Head of Training, you'll work collaboratively with the GP Training Program Management team to achieve the best outcomes for registrars and supervisors ensuring the delivery of a high-quality nationally consistent GP training program. You'll support the Senior Local Medical Educator – Head of Training to oversee the delivery of medical education at a local level. In addition, you'll:

    • provide leadership within the Medical Education team including develop people for current and future roles and enable team members to work to the top of their scope
    • registrar and supervisory team support and education including peer group education
    • training site support
    • educational visits for registrars, supervisors, and practice staff
    • contribution to regional based activities
