    The Role:

    The Senior Governance Officer plays a crucial role in administering and leading a small admin team to ensure the corporate governance function meets requirements in accordance with internal and external regulatory frameworks.

    This is a full-time position with capacity for hybrid or work-from-home delivery.

    Responsibilities:

    Manage corporate registers (including risk, policy, legal, and other contracts).

    Coordinate insurance policy renewal and claims to meet organisational needs.

    Action constitutional requirements for members and directors.

    Maintain a corporate governance calendar and plan actions to meet timeframes.

    Provide governance support and ensure adherence to corporate governance registrations, standards, and frameworks.

    About You:

    We seek an experienced administrator with advanced skills and attention to detail.

    You must have the capacity to manage the governance and compliance needs of a complex multifaceted not-for-profit organisation.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Experience working in a company secretary role or governance coordination capacity.

    Tertiary qualifications in administration, business, or law.

    Proven experience developing and implementing an internal audit schedule.

    Understanding of constitutional requirements and ability to provide strategic and operational leadership.

    Lead and embed a positive risk management culture and practices across the organisation.

    Excellent working skills using Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills.

    Desirable Skills:

    Experience working in the not-for-profit/disability sector.

    Working knowledge of ACNC governance principles and awareness of NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission practice standards.
