- Bachelor of Nursing and post-graduate diploma in psychiatric and mental health nursing or to have completed a specialists undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program or a specialist post basic course of training which previously led to registration as a Division 3 nurse.

About the role:
The Senior Mental Health Nurse provides professional supervision and support to mental health nurses to ensure the effective delivery of quality clinical services, and an increased knowledge and skills of staff. Whilst the role will not hold a clinical caseload, it will manage a number of leadership portfolio areas in order to support the professional and strategic leadership approach to mental health nursing that is overseen by the Director of Nursing - Mental Health and Wellbeing Services.
The role will provide nursing leadership, and will oversee the education portfolio across the service, including nursing education, training and development, and clinical supervision. In addition to this, the role provides oversight and management to a number of specialty services within the MHWS.
Position overview:
This position may be eligible for an incentive payment for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV) up to $10,000.
