This requires the application of mature engineering knowledge in planning and conducting projects having scope for independent accomplishment and coordination of the more challenging and responsible assignments.
In this role you will be able to:
Perform engineering duties requiring mature professional knowledge.
Supervise and reviews the work of more junior engineers, drafters, and technicians.
Make judgements and recommendations on technical matters within area of expertise.
Use advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices to complete assignments.
Share knowledge and acts as mentor to more junior staff within area of expertise.
Adhere to quality, safety, and environmental procedures/standards.
Liaise with clients, potential and current, for the purposes of service delivery, networking, and business development.
Contribute to Project Management on a range of projects, ensuring projects are fulfilled to scope and within time, cost, and quality requirements.
Manage equipment resources, including advice to management regarding future asset requirements, as relevant to role.Demonstrate advanced knowledge of relevant software, systems, and processes.
May contribute to, or be the author of, technical papers.
Relevant Education, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant area of study
Minimum 7 years' experience post-graduation
Relevant heavy industry experience
Experience with bulk materials handling equipment (ship loaders, ship-unloaders, container cranes, conveying systems, trans-shipment systems and bulk storage systems).
Strong analytical, investigative and design skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Flexible, team player
Experience with:
Spacegass, Auto CAD, Solid Works, Ansys
Experience working within a multi-site organisation.
Experience with mining equipment including conveying systems, stackers, reclaimers, and bucket wheel excavators.
Interest and/or experience with renewable energy technology and engineering
