The Position
We are seeking a motivated Paralegal/Senior Paralegal to join our team based in Brisbane City. This is an onsite office based role.
You will provide high level support to ensure efficient matter management and exceptional service delivery to our clients.
About the Firm
Kellie Finlay Legal is a boutique plaintiff personal injury firm located Brisbane City. We are a growing law firm and now have an opportunity for a Paralegal/Senior Paralegal to join the team on a full time basis.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior Lawyers and assist in managing a varied portfolio of WorkCover, CTP and Public Liability matters.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 to 3 years of recent Queensland personal injury paralegal experience. This role is not suited to students seeking part‑time work.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include:
- Assisting senior Lawyers with efficient management of personal injury files
- Undertaking general file management tasks
- Preparing and formatting documents, correspondence and briefs.
- Co-ordinating and arranging independent medical assessments.
- Diary and calendar management, travel coordination and handling incoming calls.
- Providing general administrative support as required.
- Evidence gathering
- Liaising with clients, counsel and other key parties
- Drafting a variety of documentation including Claim Forms, Statutory Declarations, Statements, letters and other correspondence
- Organising Conferences and Mediations together with preparing the necessary documentation
Essential Experience and Criteria
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe, along with accurate typing and document formatting skills.
- Experience with Smokeball (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with ebrief (preferred but not essential)
- A proactive, positive and adaptable attitude with a willingness to learn quickly.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- A reliable, mature approach with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail.
