    Description

    An opportunity for a Quality Assurance Advisor to work on a new 18 month project in Darwin. Once completed there will be ongoing opportunities on new projects in the NT (performance related). Relocation costs are optional for interstate candidates.

    Purpose of this position:

    Offer expert quality assurance services for on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to standards and project specifications to maximise project value.

    Suitable candidates for this role will need to possess the following skills:

    • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • They will be required to be resilient with the ability to work alone and they will be required to be adaptable and flexible.
    • Posses great team working abilities, and leadership skills.
    • Applicants are required to have a quality background in construction and or civils at an Advisor level
    • Experience with Protech and Hammertech

    Key accountabilities include:

    • Ensure compliance with contractual quality requirements through independent inspections, witnessing, and monitoring.
    • Validate and certify work quality according to Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Checklists.
    • Report on quality management performance and coordinate with the office-based QA team.
    • Monitor suppliers, contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure fulfilment of quality obligations.
    • Provide guidance to promptly address quality non-conformities.
    • Oversee and guide fellow engineers.
    • Collaborate with the HSEQ head to devise a project-specific Quality Management process and oversee its on-site implementation.
    • Conduct training sessions for staff, focusing on individuals with specific quality responsibilities.
    • Establish and execute site-specific quality assurance processes and controls to ensure consistent quality planning, assurance, control, and improvements in construction processes.
    Qualifications and Experience:
    • Tertiary Engineering qualifications in Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical
    • 8+ years experience as an engineer
    • 5+ years experience working on-site on large-scale construction projects within
      Australia/New Zealand.
    • Possess familiarity with client standards and specifications.
    • Hold a valid white card and possess a full driver's license.
    • Pass a national police check.
    *** Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident and must be ready to relocate to Darwin
