The Role
Genus Industrial is seeking applications from suitably qualified Electricians for Aldoga Substations
Project overview:
Genus has been awarded a contract by ACCIONA Energía for the Aldoga 275kV Solar Farm Substation design and construction works in Queensland.
Located around 20 km northwest of the city of Gladstone in central Queensland, the Aldoga Solar Farm development and its 275kV Substation will be a flagship renewable energy project built on land leased from Economic Development Queensland; as part of the Queensland Government's aim to increase renewable energy supply, generate jobs and support economic growth for the future.
Scope:
Genus will undertake the detailed design, procurement, installation and associated civil works for the new 275kV Substation, with the contract having an approximate value of $40 million to be delivered over a 12-month period in 2024. Genus will engage with circa 70 personnel to complete the project using significant local content from regional Queensland.
