    Domain Principal Engineer

    Sydney-Based (1/2 days in Office, 3/4 days WFH)

    Up to $300k package (including bonuses and super)

    Role Overview:

    As the Domain Principal Engineer, you will spearhead engineering methodologies and decisions across value streams, influencing the technical direction of over 400 engineers. Your expertise will tackle intricate technical challenges, converting technology strategy into superior solutions, standards, and tools that enhance business capabilities. Your work will span all business verticals, focusing on making impactful technical advancements.

    Technical Expertise:

    • Comprehensive solution design and troubleshooting across the full stack.
    • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Terraform) and API Management.
    • Experience with large eCommerce platforms, REST APIs, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
    • Skilled in abstract, logical, physical, data, and state models.
    • Mastery of Google and Azure infrastructure, MS SQL, MySql, and NoSQL.
    • Knowledgeable in Event Driven Architecture, Agile environments, and modern web frameworks (.NET,React, Node, Java).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide visionary thought leadership, guiding squads through design, development, testing, and deployment.
    • Identify and address critical technical issues, ensuring technical excellence.
    • Collaborate with the Domain Principal Architect and Heads of Engineering to shape the architecture.
    • Validate engineering deliverables to ensure alignment with future state architecture.
    • Engage with specialized engineering teams such as Cyber Security and Platform Engineering.
