    Are you a privacy expert with a keen understanding of information access management? We are looking for a dynamic Manager Privacy and Information Access to join our team and lead efforts in safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

    About the role

    As the Manger Privacy and Information Access, reporting to the Director, Governance & Risk you will manage and supervise the Privacy and Information Access team to deliver business wide strategic management of privacy and information access activities.

    Your role will include managing access to information held by the Department, managing complex and sensitive GIPA decisions and ensuring representation at the NSW Civil and Administrative Decisions Tribunal as required. Your team will serve as the primary point of contact for privacy inquiries, complaints, and incidents, leading investigations and implementing corrective actions as needed. It will be critical to stay updated on privacy laws, regulations, and industry standards, advising stakeholders on emerging trends and potential impacts on the Department.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will have strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across the organisation. You will have experience working with privacy technologies, incident response procedures, and privacy impact assessment tools. It will be important to be able to successfully manage your team, prioritise tasks, and handle confidential information with discretion.

    • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience working in a similar role focusing on privacy and information legislation and compliance requirements.
