    What are we looking for?

    We have a fantastic opportunity for a positive, energetic and highly motivated Law Clerk to join our Public Liability team in Brisbane. This is a full time opportunity.

    Our public liability team assists clients for many injuries incurred that result because another party has breached their duty of care. Some may include: slips and trips on public or private property; unsafe premises (such as balconies, stairs or walking surfaces); dog or animal attacks; physical assaults; defective products (or services); Sporting accidents (including recreational and adventure activities); injuries on private property including rental properties or health and fitness injuries (such as massage or personal training). We work to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.

    Under supervision of a Lawyer within the team, your daily duties will include:

  • Undertaking client interviews
  • Draft correspondence to clients and third parties
  • Providing a tailored approach to each client's matter
  • Managing your own file load of client claims
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal and external stakeholders
  • Working closely with the legal teams to advance legal matters for clients
  • What will you bring?

    To be successful in this role our ideal candidate will have a proven ability to empathise with our clients whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism. The following attributes and skills will ensure your ongoing success:

  • Previous experience as a Law Clerk or in case management preferred but not essential
  • Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems
  • A natural passion for helping people and high level of empathy
  • Exceptional experience in communication and customer service
  • Excellent written and drafting skills
  • Recognise the importance of attention to detail and time management
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Available to work 38 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday
