    The Role The BG&E Perth Civil team is well established with an excellent reputation as an industry leader across transport project.

    Our innovative and technically complex solutions can be seen across a significant portion of the existing WA transport network and through the emerging projects that are being deliver for OMTID, Metronet, Main Roads WA and the PTA.

    BG&E have a significant pipeline of work, a technical leadership group that second to none and a mindset for technical excellence that will provide the right candidate with significant growth opportunities.

    You will be working across a range of projects for urban redevelopment, and responsible for delivering innovative designs and technical advice and serving as a key contact for clients.

    In this key role you'll be expected to undertake a variety of activities such as: Representing BG&E to help instill confidence in our clients and external stakeholders of the value we bring.

    Applying professional knowledge and judgement to plan and implement successful projects.
    Build and foster positive internal and external relationships.
    Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills.
    Mentor less-experienced engineers to help develop their technical skills and knowledge.
    Identify and manage technical and commercial project risks.

    Take ownership of the final outcome on distinct projects / packages of work including management of resources and budgets, delegation of responsibilities and quality of deliverables.

    Engage in business operations and demonstrate an understanding of the impact of works practices on the financial outcome of projects.

    About you Already a successful professional engineer, you'll be passionate about learning and motivated to seek feedback ensuring your professional and technical career development.

    To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or higher.
    In-depth knowledge and understanding of Austroads and Australian Standards relevant to road and highway infrastructure design.

    Robust understanding of civil and road engineering principles, road geometry design process, road safety considerations and requirements and the interrelationship of road design and other design disciplines.

    A working understanding of design and drafting software packages such as Auto CAD, Microstation, 12d and/or Open Roads.
    A minimum 5 years of experience in the design and delivery of road and highway infrastructure projects.
    A working understanding of regulatory frameworks and statutory compliance requirements.
    Robust experience in report writing, external client communications, TANs and Design Exception Reports.
