    This role involves frequent travel to various ALPA stores across the NT and QLD

    Responsibilities
    • General Handyperson duties (maintenance of retail supermarket store, including shop fitting, painting, carpentry, tiling and welding)
    • Competent in operating general maintenance equipment
    • Plan and carry out preventive maintenance throughout the store to ensure standards are maintained.
    • Carry out general repairs and maintenance to the store and attend service requests by by store or duty managers.
    The Person
    • Forklift and working at heights license is advantageous.
    • Previous experience in general maintenance and repair work.
    • Previous trade experience across shop fitting, painter, carpenter, tiling or welding is preferred
    • Physically fit
    • A great work ethic and ability to learn
    • Good communication skills with a flexible approach
    • Follow work safe procedures
    • Proficiency in a wide range of maintenance tasks.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions.
    • Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a remote community
