    About FanDuel

As part of the Flutter Group , FanDuel is the premier gaming destination and market leader in America with a growing presence here in Australia. The company is based in New York but has offices in Melbourne (alongside our Sportsbet counterparts), California, New Jersey, Florida, Oregon and Scotland.

    The Role

Sports Assessor/Traders at FanDuel are the people behind the numbers that our customers see and bet on via our app and website. We utilise stats, in-house models, industry news and information, and our opinions to help formulate probabilities which are what we believe are the most accurate odds. We then manage those odds throughout their lifecycle. We don't expect anyone to walk in the door and know everything at the start, so we take our training and development seriously to ensure that new starters are well supported.

Our customers are the most important thing to us, so coming up with new markets for them to bet on, settling their bets in a timely manner and all aspects of their experience are going to be important part of this role for you.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • In time, you will be able to compile your own odds on a range of sporting events and games using our various sports models as well as statistics and trends.
    • You will observe our prices and make adjustments where necessary, taking into consideration things like player news, customer behavior, industry prices, etc.
    • Identify data trends post-event which will allow us to implement the best practices going forward.
    • Collaboration with the wider FanDuel risk team to manage our liabilities, help identify customer patterns and ensuring we remain compliant across our different jurisdictions.

The FanDuel team in Melbourne adopt a flexible 5 day working week policy based on customer needs to ensure a great work-life balance for our staff. There is a requirement for some weekend work, but shifts will generally fall between 8am – 6.30pm allowing you to still have your nights

    About You

To put it simply, we are looking for people who are passionate about collaborative engagement; who like numbers; have an eye for attention to detail; are calm under pressure; are comfortable with numbers and have an interest in sport. Putting our customers front of mind is the most important in this role, the rest we can teach you – so we are open to recent graduates

However, we do ask that you have:

    • An understanding of statistics and probability with a passion
