Must be an Australian Citizen Mon to Fri - office hours About The Role As a VSOE Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical landscape of defense systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
Technical Leadership:
Exercise technical authority over the development and maintenance of the VSOE DEF(AUST) Standard, collaborating closely with project managers and technical leads.
Integration Engineering:
Conduct software integration engineering activities, facilitating discussions with stakeholders and synthesizing technical views to make evidence-based recommendations.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project stakeholders, including Army capability managers, CASG SPOs, and international partners, to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Documentation:
Develop and maintain high-level and detailed design documentation, including interface control definitions and security requirements.
Strategic Planning:
Advise on future technical development pathways and represent VSOE and LCS Design to industry and international stakeholders.
Qualifications And Experience To excel in this role, you should have:
Industry Experience:
A minimum of 8 years of industry experience in software engineering, with a focus on C4 I Military Systems, Networks, and associated software.
Relevant Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or extensive experience in integration engineering and Linux-based operating environments.
Technical Skills:
Experience in Linux-based operating system hardening, scripting, virtualization, and Azure Dev Ops.
Additional qualifications such as RHCE or RHCSA are desirable.
Domain Knowledge:
Familiarity with defense engineering processes, safety-critical software development, and Commonwealth procurement processes.
