It is one of SA's most accessible seaside escape locations with breathtaking views and national parks. It is a place to experience fresh seafood from local providers and you'll also find plenty of bakeries, craft breweries and distilleries. Walking trails, diving, surfing, and cycling are just some of the recreational activities the Yorke Peninsula has to offer.

    Position Available

    YNLHN have a permanent full time position for an Enrolled Nurse wishing to work within the Operating Theatres at the Wallaroo Hospital.

    Surgical specialities are offered between Monday and Friday by local and visiting medical specialists and include general surgery, orthopaedic, gastroenterology, obstetric, urology, gynaecology, dental, ophthalmology, plastics, and ear nose throat services.

    YNLHN surgical services are also supported with a 24-hour, 7-day week on-call service. Applicants to these positions will be required to participate in an on-call roster system to support these services.

    Opportunities are also available for Registered Nurses employed in this role to expand and consolidate on additional skills within additional services at each hospital if desired.

    Wallaroo Hospital

    Located 160 kilometres from Adelaide on the beautiful coastline of the Yorke Peninsula, Wallaroo is a 21-bed acute hospital. Services offered include 24-hour accident and emergency, acute and general medical services, chemotherapy, medical imaging, surgical services obstetric and maternity care, palliative care, and outpatient clinics.

    The Yorke Peninsula region offers a lovely place to live and work, providing a beautiful coastal environment, the area provides great beaches for swimming and fishing. There is plenty of areas to explore on your days off Wallaroo Hospital has one operating theatre that provides services 5 days per week with a supporting on-call service and is seeking:

  • Enrolled Nurse: Permanent F/T, 1.0 FTE (38 hours per week) Commencing ASAP
