My client owns and operates a workshop, located in the suburb of Slacks Creek. A great opportunity has become available to join the workshop, as their Senior Mechanic/Workshop 2IC.

This role would suit a mechanic, with at least 5 years of experience, post qualification, who is looking to step up and take their career further. In this role, you will be required to oversee the workshop, whilst also assisting the Service Manager, with front-of-house duties. You will also need to step up into the Service Manager, while they are away.

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Be a qualified mechanic
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be committed to workshop safety
• Hold an open manual drivers licence
• Experience with a range of makes and models
• Have full Australian working rights
• Strong diagnostic abilities
• Have held your qualification for at least 5 years

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Mentoring and training of apprentices
• Assisting and completing complex diagnosis and repairs
• Quoting of repairs
• Assisting Service Manager, as required
• Step into the Service Manager role, when away
• Communicating with customers about repairs
• Any other adhoc duties as required

You will be offered a full-time role, that will require you to be available every 2nd Saturday. You will be offered ongoing training, to continue to progress your career into management. A salary of c$70k - c$75k + super and company vehicle is on offer.
