With the opportunity to join a company who fosters strong workplace relationships and values the importance of feedback, your new position as a LAME will see you performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on QantasLink's fleet of Dash 8 aircrafts and customer aircrafts.

    As a QantasLink Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) you will play an important part to our operation. You will be responsible for delivering quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard, while ensuring all OHS and safety compliance is adhered to.

    Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Ensure all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the system of certification
    • Complete all maintenance activities to the highest standards of safety and quality
    • Perform rectification, servicing and maintenance of the QantasLink fleet aircraft and equipment
    • Complete all documentation and reporting requirements in accordance with company policy
    • Ensure your contribution allows our performance to meet or exceed customer expectations
    • Complete tasks allocated in accordance with the Procedures Manual and aircraft manufacturers Maintenance Manual requirements
    • Comply with Service and Occupational Health and Safety Standards
    • Ensure conformance with practices and procedures covering the maintenance of aircraft with the objective of promoting the highest achievable standards

    To achieve success in this role, you will have:

    • A current CASA B1/B2 LAME qualification with experience in Heavy/Line Maintenance
    • B1/B2 LAME with Dash 8 Q300 rating preferred
    • Proven leadership capabilities and demonstrated ability to effectively supervise, coach and motivate teams
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively implement and manage change
    • Sound commercial awareness with the daily operations
    • Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement principles
    • Highly developed problem-solving skills, particularly when under pressure
    • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff within Qantas and other Customers, particularly in the operational areas
    • Thorough understanding of Qantas maintenance procedures and quality requirements
