    About the ward

    Ward 5 East is a dynamic 32-bed unit specialising in cardiac and thoracic surgery and cardiology medicine. You will support the clinical team whilst you manage various patient administrative tasks.

    The unit is committed to patient-centred, evidence-based care and is dedicated to continuing professional development for all staff.

    About the role

    A regular day will see you:

    • Manage confidential patient information
    • Manage collation of clinical documents
    • Work directly with the nurse in charge to support patient access and flow
    • Engage with multiple electronic platforms to book appointments, ambulance transfers and utilise patient electronic medical records
    • Provide front desk reception assistance patients, families and visitors

    About you

    To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:

    • Highly organised skill set and have good time management skills
    • Good personal skills and be able to work as part of a team
    • Excellent communication and be able to liaise with patients, families and hospital staff
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
