    Description

    A luxury automotive brand with a great immediate opportunity for a Taxation Specialist to join their existing team. You will be supporting the Group Accounting and Taxation Manager with the delivery of the Group's taxation compliance and taxation reporting requirements including preparing tax information for Management.

    You will be responsible for

    • Assisting with the preparation of the Group's taxation deliverables in relation to corporate income tax, employment taxes, Fringe Benefits Tax, Goods and Services Tax, Luxury Car Tax, withholding tax, stamp duty and local file lodgements - this includes meeting ATO lodgement deadlines as a Significant Global Entity taxpayer.
    • Preparing the Group's BAS and PAYG reporting obligations for internal review and lodgement.
    • Preparing year-end income tax provision and tax components of the local financial statement reporting for internal review.
    • Supporting the Group's Taxation Governance Framework including tax risks and related controls and enhancing tax processes and policy documentation.
    • Responding to queries from Management and other business departments on tax related matters and providing technical tax expertise as required.
    • Assisting with the delivery of transfer pricing documentation to ensure compliance with Australian transfer pricing obligations including directly liaising with external taxation consultants as appropriate.
    • Liaising directly with external taxation consultants to complete the review and lodgement of taxation obligations to the ATO and assisting with tax related matters critical to the Group's business.
    • Liaising directly with the ATO and SRO as required including assisting with ATO tax audits ensuring its completeness and timely submission to the ATO.
    • Ad-hoc taxation related activities to support the Group's business.


    Qualifications & Experience

    • Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, taxation or finance
    • CA or CPA qualified
    • Minimum 4-5 years working experience in corporate tax or Chartered firm environment
    • Consultative value-add approach
    • Effective relationship building and management particularly at senior levels
    • Intercultural experiences and a strong understanding in dealing with other cultures
    • Strong attention to detail, analytical and report writing skills
    • Clear and confident communication style with the ability to engage with all stakeholders
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in teams
    • Creative problem-solving techniques with the ability to think outside the box
    • Commercially aware with a focus on delivering results
    • High-level working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and previous experience in SAP operating systems will be beneficial
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities whilst adapting to changing priorities/workload quickly and enthusiastically
