    We are seeking a highly experienced and strategicGeneral Manager of People & Cultureto join our Brisbane team.

    The General Manager of People & Culture plays a critical role in shaping the organization's culture, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

    This position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

    You will also serve as a strategic partner to senior management, providing guidance on HR matters to support the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR function within the organization.
    This includes developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to attract, retain, and develop a high-performing workforce.

    As part of the Group Leadership Team, this role reports directly to the CEO with regular updates with the Board of Directors.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
    Provide strategic guidance and support to senior management on HR-related issues.
    Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee retention and engagement.
    Implement performance management systems to drive employee performance and development.
    Develop the core competencies of your immediate HR team to execute at a market leading standard.
    Develop and implement policies and procedures to address employee grievances and disciplinary actions.
    Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
    Identify training and development needs within the organization and develop programs to address them.

    Lead the design and implementation of organisational change management strategies to support the evolution of the company's culture and operational practices.

    Champion the development and reinforcement of IOR's culture, ensuring it aligns with strategic objectives and promotes a positive work environment.

    Collaborate with senior leadership to define and communicate a clear vision of the desired organisational culture, driving engagement and commitment from team members.


    Requirements :
    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a relevant discipline; Masters Degree preferred.
    Proven Experience in a senior HR leadership role, with a track record of developing and implementing HR strategies.
    Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
    Ability to build, lead, and inspire a high-performing People & Culture team and across the business.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to communicate with, connect with, and understand the roles of all team members across the business.
