    About you

    The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. Provide key information about the role. This role is open for part time and full time, depending on the preferred candidate. The minimum fortnightly hours is 56 and maximum fortnightly hours is 76

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible to support and enable the NUM with clinical and operational management of the designated clinical area
    • Participates in the achievement of the strategic direction of the hospital
    • Participates in the development and achievement of the department business plan
    • Promotes quality patient care and customer services ethos
    • Keeps the NUM informed of relevant issues, and managed the same appropriately
    • Mentors junior midwifery/nursing staff, and supports the policies and practices of Calvary
    • Upholds legislative requirements that govern the practice of nursing and health care

    What you bring

    • Registered Nurse or Midwife – Minimum 5 years experience
    • AHPRA Registration
    • Preferable to have SCN or higher qualification
    • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
    • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
    • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
    • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
