    About the role

    OSHC, Second in Charge/2IC works closely with the Nominated Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of the before/after school care and vacation care service.

    This role will act as the Responsible Person in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor.

    • To assist the Nominated Supervisor in the development, planning and implementation of quality programs for children
    • Work collaboratively with families, providing regular feedback and information regarding the care and specific needs of their children
    • Guide and develop families' understandings about play and leisure-based learning
    • Ensure that children's learning and development are guided by the learning outcomes of the approved learning frameworks.
    • To assist the Nominated Supervisor in leading the team in ensuring the implementation of and compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) including the Children (Education and Care Services) National Law and Regulations

    About You

    • Experience in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of programs for children aged 5 to 12 years within a care or education setting
    • Experience working in a 2IC or Leadership role within a school, aged care and/or education centre
    • You have a Diploma or Certificate IV Children's Services, OSHC, Recreation; or Degree or Diploma Primary Teaching
    • You have First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis management certification
