    The Opportunity

    Our client is a top-tier leading international law firm with a strong history in Australia spanning more than 150 years. Due to changes in leadership and an emphasis on innovation, the firm has expanded and grown exponentially in the last five years. The firm is very much at the forefront of the industry in promoting diversity and flexibility in the workplace.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Shared Service or Finance Operations Manager to lead the payables, credit and trust team and an inclusive, tight-knit group of individuals. This will initially be a 12-month fixed term contract covering the current incumbent whilst on maternity leave, there is a strong possibility for longer-term employment on offer.

    The Challenge

    Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the broader finance function, some of your responsibilities will include:

    • Manage and oversee the daily finance operations of the firm and liaise with the CFO where necessary.
    • Lead, support and develop the transactional accounting team
    • Develop and deliver the finance KPI's
    • Drive internal and external relationships
    • Leading and identifying continuous process improvements across the accounts payable, credit and trust function
    • Enhancing each department's month-end close processes
    • Assist with the external audit process
    • Provide analysis and reporting to senior management

    The Expertise

    Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

    • 10+ years of experience in management ideally across broad transactional or shared service roles
    • CPA/CA qualified (highly regarded although not essential)
    • Excellent knowledge of accounts payable, credit and trust accounts processes
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with all levels of stakeholders and customers
    • Ideally you have worked in professional services before
