    About the role

    We are looking to hire a self-motivated, customer focused Systems Administrator to join our Corporate IT team. The successful candidate will be the primary interface with our corporate staff, working as part of a close-knit team.

    You will be responsible for the support of customer infrastructure, systems and applications, and would have exposure to a range of technologies including those from Microsoft, Cisco and VMware.

    Let's talk about you

    5+ years previous experience in a Systems Administration, Systems Engineer, or similar role

    Degree/diploma or equivalent experience, including Microsoft certification

    A broad and demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft technologies and System Administration.


    A passion and drive for continuous learning and self-improvement coupled with the ability to quickly gain an understanding and competency in new technologies.

    Attention to detail

    Excellent personal organisation and time management skills

    Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

    Be able to work independently and as part of a team

    Be able to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations

    Experience with Microsoft Application Servers (eg SQL, Exchange)

    Experience with Remote Desktop Services/Terminal Services

    Experience with virtualisation technologies including VMware and Hyper-V

    Experience with cloud services including Office 365 and Azure

    How will you support our "Why?"


    Provide technical monitoring and management of corporate infrastructure to ensure they continually meet the defined performance, reliability, functionality and security requirements agreed with the business.

    Engage with other ABB technical and operational teams where required to ensure a world-class customer experience.


    Investigate and resolve anomalies and incidents escalated by the technical support teams, monitoring systems or identified during daily, weekly, monthly management and implement service requests within a defined SLA framework.

    Escalate incidents to the relevant team leader, manager, carrier or third-party vendor in a timely manner.


    Coordinate, follow up and manage escalated incidents affecting ABB services including the escalation of vendor faults once they have breached their outlined SLA's.


    As required, oversee or lead the analysis, design, documentation, planning, deployment and testing of complex adds, moves or changes for the business.


    Assist with defining, prioritising, coordinating and executing ABB Corporate IT projects and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.


    Identify and implement automation of regular tasks to improve efficiency of the team and increase the reliability, performance and functionality of customer solutions.
