    The City is seeking two (2) Community Services Officers to work with internal and external stakeholders to support community initiatives and to progress the City's 'Liveability' strategic goal and the actions in the City's equity, diversity and inclusion plans (Reconciliation Action Plan, Disability Access and Inclusion Plan, LGBTQIA+ Plan) and the City's Homelessness Action Plan.

    These positions will support the City by:

    Community Services Officer (Community Liaison):

    This position plays a crucial role in liaising with, and supporting community services available from the City's facilities/assets. Examples are services providers offering support to people experiencing homelessness and groups providing activities within City owned and managed properties.

    Community Services Officer (Projects and Policy):

    This position supports the City's EDI advisory/working groups:

    • the Access and Inclusion Advisory Group;
    • the Elders Advisory Group; and
    • the LGBTQIA+ Advisory Group.

    The position also progresses projects and actions in the City plans related to these groups.

    The successful applicants will have a strong commitment to advancing principles of equity, diversity & inclusion and highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to build and negotiate relationships with stakeholders and manage stakeholders according to written agreements (e.g. grants)
