    Job Description

    We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team as Bus Fleet Technicians. The ideal candidate will have a passion for maintaining buses in top condition and be part of a dynamic team that makes a difference every day.


    1. Perform timely repairs: Ensure buses are road-ready and drivers have a reliable vehicle.
    2. Follow service schedules: Manage minor and major services and vehicle inspections.
    3. Conduct fleet inspections: Ensure our fleet meets compliance standards and is ready for passenger use.
    4. Handle on-road breakdowns: Fix issues from damaged mirrors to brake problems.
    5. Complete unscheduled repairs and maintenance.
    6. Attend breakdowns.
    7. Complete bi-annual pre-inspection of vehicles for inspection.
    8. Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
    9. Analysing diagnostic test results.
    10. Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
    11. Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
    12. Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
    13. Adhering to an inspection procedure check.
    14. Ensuring the cleanliness of the workshop.
    15. Identify and source spare parts.
    16. Comply with health and safety legislation.
    17. Evaluate job requirements.
    18. Following company procedures.
    19. Finding resources needed to complete tasks efficiently.
    20. Maintenance of tools and equipment used for daily tasks.
    21. Identification and correction of potential mechanical failures.
    22. Participation in ongoing training and development opportunities.
    23. Safety first adherence to health and safety standards.
    24. On-time completion of assigned tasks.
    25. Solving complex problems through diagnosis and repair of bus faults.
    26. Communication of technical information to others.
    27. Directing or coordinating activities of workers to meet work schedule demands.
    28. Reporting workplace incidents.
    29. Supporting sustainability goals by following environmental processes.
    30. Maintenance of workshop facilities and organisation including supplies and inventory management.

    Requirements

    • Demonstrated work experience as a Diesel Bus Mechanic.
    • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
    • Licenses: MR or HR driver's license, or willingness to obtain one.
