About Us pitt&sherry is an Australian employee-owned consultancy Since 1963 we have been delivering engineering and environmental consulting advisory and project management services We thrive on tackling challenging projects that enable us to live up to our vision inspired thinking to embrace the challenges of a changing world The Opportunity We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Mining team This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply advanced geotechnical expertise to deliver safe efficient and commercially viable mining and infrastructure projects You Will Play a Pivotal Role In Leading geotechnical investigations providing expert analysis informing design operational decisions for mining projects Acting as a trusted advisor clients clearly articulating technical findings practical solutions Collaborating with mining engineers structural specialists project managers delivering integrated outcomes Contributing business development framing geotechnical value propositions proposals client discussions Delivering geotechnical inputs time within scope aligned project safety performance targets What You Bring A minimum of years experience with at least two years onsite experience Sound technical knowledge in geoteechnical engineering including scoping interpreting organising executing coordinating projects Hold chartered CPEng status or be able able obtain in the next twelve months Experience hard rock mining environments preferred Postgraduate qualification in Rock Mechanics preferred but not essential Experience acting resource less experienced colleagues leading small teams or projects defined scope risk Demonstrated full technical responsibility across project phases Strong business acumen understanding client value Ability solve complex problems new perspectives existing solutions Experience contributing bids proposals engineering projects Curious open exploring new ideas learning from failures Growth-oriented mindset focused continuous improvement Courageous voicing ideas embracing feedback Agile adaptable responding change refining processes Proactive collaborative promoting teamwork empowering others
