    Description

    Your Role:

    In this role you would be responsible for the profitable development of the LMM Casualty lines of business. You will provide technical specialist support to the business development staff to ensure achievement of profitable growth objectives.

    Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the profitable development of LMM Casualty lines of business within the LMM business segment.
  • Underwrite new business in line with Company Guidelines.
  • Establish sound business relationships with LMM Producers.
  • Assist the Growth and Development of the Company by proactively enhancing the profile of the company through existing and new distribution channels.
  • Establish close liaison and working relationships with LMM Property underwriters to facilitate whole account underwriting.
  • Complete all Administration requirements as necessary.
  • Manage all aspects of underwriting process including, quotation, programme referrals, binding receipt of closings and policy issuance. Recommends changes to standards or procedures where deficiencies have been found.
  • Assist with premium collections as required.
  • Assist in the review of agreed broker wordings to ensure they comply with current market conditions and Chubb underwriting disciplines.
  • Provide input to the Budget process as required.
  • Performs special projects and other related duties as assigned.
  • Establish close liaison and working relationships with the claims and the risk management team and refer to them when and where necessary.
  • Promote and develop new business opportunities in the LMM sector and specifically in our target industry sectors ,establishing relationships with key brokers who manage business in this segment.
  • To be able to deliver a high standard of service and broker relationship management and demonstrate a strong record of profitable new business development
  • Looks for solutions to unique underwriting situations.
  • Understands pricing techniques.
  • Understands account servicing costs.
  • Has a working knowledge of alternative risk transfer.
  • Understands development of reserves by individual case and by book of business.
  • Understands the underwriting appetites of the other departments and how those relate to interdepartmental accounts.
  • Understands the broker selection and appointment process.
  • Makes recommendations for tailoring coverage and manuscripting policies.
  • Is familiar with the products / services of key competitors.
  • Is comfortable with a wide range of negotiation techniques.
  • Has demonstrated ability to work well with people and influence decisions.
