The Department
Alfred Health Radiation Oncology (AHRO) is a unit of a comprehensive cancer service, with sites located at The Alfred - Melbourne and Gippsland Radiation Oncology (GRO) at Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) - Traralgon. The service provides the full range of general radiation oncology and radiation therapy services in addition to some specialised services with both state and national significance.
LOCATION SUMMARY
The Latrobe Regional Hospital is located in the only regional city in eastern Victoria. Latrobe City consists of many small townships and the main towns of Moe, Morwell and Traralgon.
The area is famous for having one of the largest brown coal reserves in the world, and being the epicentre of Victoria's electricity industry. But it's also recognised for its large forestry industry, servicing Australia's biggest pulp and paper mill. Food processing, engineering, education, retail and aviation also figure prominently.
Gippsland Radiation Oncology is situated at the Latrobe Regional Health site in Traralgon, Latrobe Valley.

Position Summary
Deputy Senior Radiation Therapist Grade 3 position located at Alfred Radiation Oncology, responsible for performing radiation therapy treatment planning and treatment delivery tasks and activities which may often be in the complex range of techniques and problem solving. Salary commensurate with experience within the Grade 3 level.
The incumbent should have extensive skills and knowledge base in radiation therapy practice, experience in team leadership and well developed communication skills.
