    The Role

As a Base Support Officer, you will engage with stakeholders, customers and contractors to ensure the efficient delivery of essential services across the Base Support Area. You will have a sound understanding of departmental business and deliverables, exercise initiative and judgement in the interpretation and application of policy and work collaboratively with Defence enablers to resolve service delivery issues. You will be required to represent the department at various forums with professionalism and confidence, and recommend solutions and management strategies to whole-of-base operational issues. You will participate in the design and development of plans, and the execution of base activities relating to WHS, security, emergency and base management.

    About our Team

    The Base Management Team monitors and responds to base service delivery issues, to ensure currency and consistency with service delivery requirements, whilst actively identifying opportunities to implement improvements to service delivery to the future. The team works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the customer experience and to assure prescribed product and services standards are met within agreed time frames. Within the team, members build and sustain effective working relationships with team members and actively participate in meetings, work and group activities. The team evaluates activities and processes for compliance with legislation, regulations or standards, and design and recommend solutions to base operation issues that may be affecting the achievement of desired outcomes. The team also assess risks and provide guidance in relation to risk management strategies and develops, rehearses and maintains whole of base plans and instructions to achieve business objectives.
