    About the role

    The Manager/Chapter Lead Business Analysis/Product owner role is tasked with the overall responsibility for development, delivery and management of the enterprise business analysis strategy and for the overall success of the analysis function. This role will foster a positive team culture and maximise the potential of the team members.

    Responsibilities

    The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing and leading the implementation of the Enterprise Business Analysis strategy including tooling, methodologies, disciplines and frameworks.
  • Leading the Business Analysis teams, managing performance, training and continuous learning for all team members. Ensuring the appropriate quantity and quality of skilled people are available to meet organisational needs.
  • Create a good understanding of the complex business needs and strategies in order to support the development of high-quality business analysis artefacts that underpin effective IT solution delivery
  • Leads, coaches, develops and motivates a high performing team of business analysts to build skills and productivity
  • Ensure that that business analysis teams take an end to end perspective, fully meet the desired business objectives and consider operational support processes
  • Monitors and reviews work undertaken by the business analysts to ensure appropriate use of materials and adherence to delivery objectives
  • Promotes and implements consistent procedures, tools, and approaches to ensure business analysis work is consistent with HCF's desired IT delivery framework
  • Accountable for the creation of business analysis tools, templates and standards such as the functional specifications, application/process workflows, use cases, screen mockups, integration mapping and technical impact assessments
  • Engaging and managing external suppliers to meet organisational needs
  • About you

    To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in a leadership position
  • Demonstrated ability to improve and mature organisational practices
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and pragmatically collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive enterprise-based outcomes
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Able to communicate complex technical issues to a wide variety of audiences, from IT Teams through to business users and senior managers with little or no technical background.
  • Experienced with planning, estimating, resourcing and working on multiple projects and BAU initiatives simultaneously.
  • Good to have:

  • Advanced knowledge of software development
  • Advanced knowledge of analysis methodologies, tools and techniques
  • Experience delivering excellent business analysis outcomes on large scale transformation projects
