- Contribute to project and initiative solution design aligned with the platform's technical direction
- Manage and operationalise engineering code within the Java platform application domain
- Implement feature driven software engineering practices and processes
- Follow source code branching and merging strategies for Java application platforms.
- Actively participate and demonstrate leadership in industry forums
- Provide input to other Core Tolling, Billing, and Collections teams during user story implementation
- Design and develop new features and enhancements on the platform along with performing root cause analysis and defect remediation
- Strong Java application development experience (Java SE or J2EE)
- Proven expertise in designing and building Java applications in an Enterprise context, including Server-side web applications, Oracle Weblogic Server, and Oracle Database 11g/12c
- Knowledge of Oracle Customer, Care and Billing (CCB)
- Expertise in Agile, CI/CD, and DevSecOps principles
- Strong experience with development tools such as Jenkins, GitHub/Perforce, Eclipse, Artifactory, Ant & Gradle
- Reliable, insights-driven, self-motivated, and able to handle the challenges of a varied role in a dynamic organisation
- Demonstrated ability to define and drive complex initiatives/projects, balancing time to market, usability, and technical debt
- Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with the ability to deal effectively with both internal and external personnel at all levels
- Experience writing code for large-scale production environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills and creative problem-solving ability
- A broad range of tools, languages and frameworks is desirable
- Preferred qualifications include a tertiary degree in systems engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline
