    Description

    First line risk role with Customer Solutions/ Financial Crime focus Hybrid working environment with 3 days in the office Sydney based role How will I help?In this critical role, you'll partner closely with key stakeholders on all matters of risk and control.

    You're not just responsible for the implementation of solutions; you'll be the driving force behind embedding a mature risk management culture, offering ongoing monitoring, and supporting the development of credible pathways for identified control gaps, weaknesses, and process improvement opportunities.

    Compliance with CIB-related obligations is key, and you'll play a vital role in supporting a strong risk culture that aligns with our core values of ethics and integrity, striking the perfect balance between commercial and customer needs.

    Your day-to-day responsibilities will include contributing to a team of risk professionals to ensure that divisional and business operations and risk management practices are in full alignment with our frameworks, policies, regulatory obligations, and risk strategy.

    You'll ensure stakeholders are fully aware of the WIB Lending VC risk profile, adopting VCM and Risk Management Framework policies and standards seamlessly.

    Embedding a strong risk management culture where risk considerations are integral to business decisions will be a cornerstone of your role.

    You'll provide specialist advice on managing risks, compliance obligations, and controls, focusing on both business-as-usual and change initiatives within WIB VCM.

    Your expertise will be crucial in identifying, assessing, and actioning risk and controls issues, driving a robust risk and controls culture that supports our business outcomes.

    Moreover, your proactive stance will enhance the monitoring, management, and reporting of current and emerging risks, fostering a strong culture of risk awareness and ownership across the business.

    And we continue to pay your super contributions while you take all the time you need to get your new family settled What do I need?You'll bring 5-10 years of experience in risk management within the financial services industry, coupled with proven experience in relationship management and consumer onboarding in operational risk, financial crime and / or environmental social governance.

    To thrive in this role, you'll have exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills and be able to appropriately elicit information, challenge and influence stakeholders enable the successful achievement of outcomes.

    In addition, demonstrate effective workshop facilitation experience and a deep understanding of business drivers and a strong foundation in quality and control assurance.
