    Scope is now accepting expressions of interest for an experienced and qualified Company Director who can guide and support Scope to deliver its strategic initiatives.

    Scope (Aust) Ltd ( Scope ), a company limited by guarantee, operates as a charitable organisation to advance the wellbeing of people with a disability through alignment with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Australia's human rights statutory framework.

    Scope (and its controlled entities) is one of the largest not-for-profit disability service providers in Australia, supporting thousands of people with complex intellectual, physical, and multiple disabilities, and their families. As a registered service provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Scope supports more than 5,000 individuals with disability across metropolitan and regional Victoria and NSW with services including Supported Independent Living, therapy, individual support, communication access and supported decision making. Scope also works with corporate and community organisations to improve inclusion for people with disability through raising awareness and building community capacity to enable the citizenship of people with disability.

    Scope operates across Victoria and New South Wales through over 420 service locations and employs over 7,000 people.

    Scope Board

    The role of Scope's Board is to set the strategic direction for Scope, across all Scope Group entities with regard to Scope's Purpose, Vision and Values and the purposes set out in the Scope Constitution, to guide and support the organisation to deliver on its strategic initiatives through strong governance and agile decision-making.

    In accordance with the Scope Board Governance Capability Framework, and aligned with Scope Board Skills and Capability Matrix, the Scope Board is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and qualified Directors:

  • With demonstrated consumer engagement in disability or care sectors including safeguarding with a human rights based approach
  • With demonstrated consumer engagement in disability or care sectors including co-design and human-centred models
  • With demonstrated sector expertise in service design in disability and care sectors at national scale.
  • In alignment with Scope's Disability Action Plan, it is the Board's ambition that people with disability comprise a significant proportion of governance roles at Board and Committee levels.

    Scope Board and Committee member roles are remunerated.
